Darren & Emma's indie and rock fuelled wedding disco with a surprise custom neon sign.
Darren and Emma were due to get married at Apton Hall in Essex in January but didnt want a typical wedding disco. They both love alternative music and were looking for a DJ who could a play their favourite tracks along with a more alternative set, read the crowd and keep people on the dance floor.
Darren sent over a link to a Spotofy playlist that he had made to give us a good idea of the music his crew liked and also a list of 'must plays'. Then when all that was taken care of, Darren messaged me privately with a request for a custom neon sign...
Darren and Emma's favourite movie of all time is Quentin Tarantino's 'True Romance'. Apparently there was a part in the movie where Alabama writes a note to Clarence that says 'Youre So Cool' Darren asked if we could make a neon sign with the exact same handwriting and dispaly it at their wedding as a suprise to his new wife. Of course, we were BANG on this! We rented the movie on SKYTV and watched it that night. In the morning we set about designing the neon to get it ready on time.
