Set amongst trees and meadows in the beautiful Henley on Thames, the River & Rowing Museum offers a unique and contemporary wedding venue nestled in the heart of Oxfordshire.

Our spectacular, licenced glass fronted Thames Room can seat up to 120 guests for a ceremony, 80 guests for a wedding breakfast, and 120 guests for an evening reception. The Thames Room also has an adjoining terrace, perfect for drinks, canapes or informal barbecues. 

The perfect wedding venue in Henley, the Thames Room at the River & Rowing Museum offers impressive views of the surrounding willow trees and rolling meadows. Bringing the outside in, the room also opens out onto our beautiful terrace, where guests can enjoy pre or post wedding drinks. This outside space gives you the freedom to make the day your own: a themed bar; Moroccan themed chill out area; marquee; hog roast; BBQ; taco stand – the opportunities are endless. 

The Museum has its own jetty, so your wedding party can make a dramatic entrance, or exit, by boat, making your special day even more memorable.

SM Discos provide stylish wedding discos with mood lighting & top quality sound systems to the River & Rowing Museum in Henley. My name is Kai and I am an award winning DJ who has worked with the likes of Ministry of Sound, Hedkandi and Calvin Harris, so you know your music will be in great hands. In the lead up to your big day you will be able to hold unlimited meetings in-person, on Skype or on the phone, to ensure every detail of your disco is perfect for you. You can choose from a wide variety of tracks, whether you're into Club Classics, Motown, Indie or good old pop tracks, I will be able to put together a set that gets your guests on the dance floor!

SM Discos offer so much more than music, they can also provide optional extras such as photo booths, light up letters and uplighting, meaning your reception will look as good as it sounds!
