Situated just a mile east of Coggeshall in Essex, Houchins is a traditional Grade II* listed farmhouse wedding venue with a modern twist. The venue opened in 2014. It is owned and operated by the same team responsible for the success of Dove Barn in Suffolk. They have been turning happy couples’ dreams into reality for over a decade, so you can count on them to provide the expert support you need to make your wedding celebration an event to remember.
Houchins enables you and your guests to enjoy a seamless wedding experience. The Foundry is licensed for civil ceremonies and can accommodate groups of 12 to 150 guests. It also serves as a reception space where parties of up to 200 people can dance and celebrate long into the night. The adjoining Chitting Shed, which features large glass doors that open onto the terrace and gardens, is ideal for a relaxed drinks reception. The Grainstore, with its high ceilings, mezzanine gallery, and large fireplace, creates the perfect rustic atmosphere for your wedding breakfast. The Grainstore has sufficient space to comfortably seat up to 150 of your family and friends. The Loggia is available from May to September if you prefer an outdoor ceremony. The adjoining marquee provides a cosy reception space and protection from inclement weather.
