I was lucky enough to be booked by Julia and Ben to be their wedding DJ at De Vere Latimer Estate in Chesham just before Christmas. We supplied Julia and Ben with background music in the bar area as their guests arrived and also a sound system in the Cavendish Suite for background music at the wedding breakfast. After the speeches we pulled back the partition ready for the first dance. Julia and Bens first dance was 'One Love' by Bob Marley and I encouraged friends and family to join them on the dancefloor halfway through. This is a great way to kick off the evening as you always start with a full dance floor. After Stevie Wonders 'Signed, Sealed Delivered' we were off!
Julia had emailed me a long list of requests from family and friends so I had a pretty good idea of the music everybody wanted to hear and I am happy to say that we had a busy dance floor all night. I love mixing new tracks with the classics and George Ezra's 'Shotgun' followed by Dire Straits 'Money For Nothing' was my favourite reaction of the evening!
The bride and groom had chosen 'At Last' by Etta James as the last song of the night and I gathered everybody onto the dance floor to finish the evening with a bang!
