1. How much do you cost?

Ah, the inevitable question: "How much do you cost?" Let's address the elephant in the room before we get carried away with excitement. Sure, you could find a DJ willing to spin tunes for a bargain £150.00, but be prepared for rookie mistakes and cheap equipment. Would you want the cheapest photographer capturing your magical moments? Our quote will depend on date, location of your venue and the package you require.

2. Do you have reviews from previous customers?

Of course! If your DJ has been around the block a few times, you bet there are some rave reviews floating around. It's like their own personal fan club cheering them on! Go ahead and ask for those golden DJ testimonials - it's like getting a sneak peek backstage to see how they rock the dance floor. And if they're hesitating, don't be shy to ask for a couple of emails from their groupies, I mean, previous clients who can vouch for their killer beats. A DJ with a solid squad of happy customers is like music to your ears; you know you're in for a good time!

3. What lighting equipment will you bring?

When it comes to the wedding disco, we're not messing around with just any old lights. Our DJs bring 2 moving head lights, ready to illuminate the night with sheer awesomeness. We always recommend adding evening uplighting in you have the budget. It really warms the venue up so the room isnt too dark and also likes awesome in your dancing photos . If you're curious about what flashy gear our DJ is rolling up with, just ask for a sneak peek! We have rustic DJ set ups for country / barn venues and starlight DJ set ups for those swanky hotels.

4. Are you happy to play requests?

If you have booked a good DJ then they will be able read the vibe of the crowd. A seasoned wedding DJ will skillfully blend all sorts of genres to keep the energy alive. So, before the big day, give them a ring and make sure they're on the same wavelength as you musically. Remember, a top-notch DJ will play requests with a smile, yet may need to switch things up a bit to keep everyone on the floor. It's all about finding that perfect musical harmony for a night to remember!

5. Do you have a back up plan?

Oh, the nerve-wracking possibility of your DJ catching a flu the day before your big day!

Ask your wedding DJ what happens if they arent able to make it at the last minute. Booking a company like ours means that we will always have somebody ready to jump in last minute. And just in case gremlins attack the sound system, our DJs always have a secret stash of spare mixers, amps, and cables tucked away - because in the world of weddings, saving the day is just part of the job description.

6. Do you need a deposit?

Absolutely, making sure you are booked in is crucial when it comes to securing your DJ for the big day! It's like having an insurance policy for your party success. So, remember to get your confirmation in writing, because when it comes to weddings, having peace of mind is key, and a receipt is your golden ticket to a stress-free celebration. We issue full contracts at the time of booking with all the details laid out including playing times & when the remaining balance is due.

7. Will you talk between songs?

When it comes to your DJ setting the vibe at your event, communication is key! Do you want your DJ to drop some jokes and share fun facts between songs, or are you all about that uninterrupted music flow? Make sure to lay down the law from the get-go, so they know if it's a black-tie affair or a more relaxed shindig. Remember, the dance floor is your domain, so set the rules early to ensure your DJ knows what you want on your wedding day!

8. First dance & last dance

When it comes to the first and last dance at your wedding, it's all about setting the stage for an unforgettable night! Your first dance is like the grand opening act, kicking off the evening's festivities and luring everyone onto the dance floor - so make it count!

Dont do this too early!!! Let the moment breathe after the speeches, give your guests a chance to unwind, sip some bubbly, and chat before you take center stage. We have played at so many weddings where the couple choose to do their first dance too early and are confused when everyone leaves the dance floor straight afterwards. When have you ever been out and started dancing at 7pm... unless your completely smashed probably never!

And let's not forget the grand finale - the last dance. It's your swan song, the cherry on top of a perfect day. Don't leave it to chance; choose a song that truly speaks to you, or risk the DJ playing a tune that might not fit with your vibe. A little pre-wedding chat with your DJ can ensure your night wraps up in perfect harmonious style, leaving you and your guests with musical memories to last a lifetime.

9. Are you fully insured?

Asking a DJ if their gear is PAT tested and if they have PLI is like sending a secret code for professionalism. If they fumble or give you the runaround on those certificates and insurance, well, pardner, you might just be staring down a wild west cowboy in the DJ world. A classy wedding DJ worth their weight in gold would have all those important boxes checked faster than you can say "Boogie Wonderland." Remember, when it comes to DJs, always play it safe and keep those certificates and insurances in the mix! Ours are over on our website for all to see!

10. Are you familiar with our venue, and have you DJed there before?

A professional DJ wont need to have DJed at your venue before. Yes, it does make things easier as they will know the best times to set up as so not to disturb you or your guests, or the best doors to load/unload into. Some venues dont like suppliers turning up that they have never worked with so its always a good idea to check.
